The January RRLug meeting was held starting at 6:00pm on Thursday, January 18th. There were 9 people in attendance and we had the following discussions:
- Amazon Web Service – Steven Lembark gave a really timely presentation on Amazon Web Services. During his presentation he covered setting up a typical virtual network including adding subnets and gateways, creating EC2 instance in the public and private portions, adding databases, and adding a NAT gateway to allow updates for the private network nodes. It was many of the attendees first exposure to AWS and the presentation was thoroughly enjoyed.
- Linux News/Discussion – We discussed Linux related news items that struck a responsive cord with the membership from over the holidays
Nice start to the 2018!
