Our meeting will run from 6:00 – 10:00 pm on Thursday, March 11th. The first hour of the meeting will be devoted to a general round-table discussion on Linux and Open Source followed by any presentations. Contact and agenda information is listed below:

March 2021 Virtual Meeting Link

  • Create Your Own Streaming Music Service with Plex Media Server – Darius McCaskey will give us an informative presentation on setting up and configuring our very own Plex server to help address all our media needs. It will be an interesting presentation!
  • Secure Internet Browsing – Sam Williams is going to discuss a number of options for securely browsing the internet!
  • Linux Round-Table Discussion – We will discuss any Linux related news items that strike a responsive cord with the membership. We will also discuss any technical problems or issues people may be dealing with.

February 2021 Virtual Meeting Link

  • Linux Commands to start 2021 – Sam Williams is going to discuss a couple of Linux commands that you want to use when starting the new year!
  • Creating a Multi-Distro Bootable USB drive – Any good Linux engineer has in their toolkit a bootable USB drive with their favorite Linux distribution. Now that distributions have exceeded the size of a CD and will only fit on a thumb-drive why waste space. We will be looking at a couple of ways of building a thumb-drive with multiple Linux distributions.
  • Linux Round-Table Discussion – We will discuss any Linux related news items that strike a responsive cord with the membership. We will also discuss any technical problems or issues people may be dealing with.
