The February RRLug Meeting is being cancelled due to weather!

We are getting a snowstorm starting tomorrow afternoon (02/08 @ 3pm). The weather forecast indicates snow showers are starting in the afternoon and things will only get worse during the time we are normally scheduled to meet. For this reason and for the safety of all concerned I am going to cancel the February meeting!  I have listed the hour by hour weather prediction for tomorrow afternoon below:

Stay warm and safe and hopefully we can all meet up for the March meeting on Thursday, March 8th.

Happy New Year RRLug!

The January RRLug meeting will be held starting at 6:00pm on Thursday, January  18th. Directions: When you arrive at Rasmussen College take the elevator to the third floor then turn right and walk straight into the meeting room (Boardroom). This months agenda is as follows:

  • Amazon Web Service –  Steven Lembark is going to give a really timely presentation on Amazon Web Services. During the presentation he will cover setting up the virtual network, adding subnets and a gateway, creating EC2 instance in the public and private portions, adding a database, and adding a NAT gateway to allow updates for the private network nodes.
  • Linux News – We will discuss and Linux related news items that strike a responsive cord with the membership.
